Recruit – Develop – Retain

The Association exists to serve local cricket through the recruitment of Umpires and Scorers.

To train Umpires and Scorers to perform their roles and to develop their skills to help them to be the very best they can be.

To continually support our members to enjoy the roles and retain their input to the game.

 

Join Our Association

By joining our organisation you will become part of a support network dedicated to helping you enjoy your role in the game of cricket.

You will have access to training support, assessors to help you develop your skills and though the wider ECB ACO membership, professional and legal support should you ever need it.

We meet on the first Monday of the month at Scarborough Cricket Club 7:30pm between September and April with the exception of January.

Our Core Values

  • To improve the standard of cricket umpiring and scoring within the Scarborough area, by training, education, preparation for assessments and discussion
  • To improve communications between umpires and scorers via newsletters, association, meetings and social functions
  • To co-ordinate the appointment of umpires and scorers to such matches as may be requested by local cricket organisers 
  • To promote, uphold and protect the status and interests of umpires and scorers
  • To take such action/representation as is desirable in the interest of cricket
  • To co-operate and cultivate good relations and improve communications with other associations and with all other cricketing bodies for the benefit of SACUS members and the betterment of the game of cricket
